Drive-in Movies at Ascarate Park

Celebrate Valentine’s Day in Ascarate Park

A free, drive-in style showing of 50 First Dates on Wednesday, February 14

El Paso, TX, January 22, 2018El Paso County Parks & Special Events is bringing the tradition of drive-in movies back to the lower valley. This Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018, 50 First Dates will be shown on the largest inflatable screen in the city. The sound from the movie will be broadcast over the radio on a designated station. The sound will also be played over speakers outside the vehicles. Gates open at 5 and a designated parking area will be ready for cars to park facing the screen.  The movie will begin after sundown, approximately 6:45 pm.

Guests are encouraged to come early as spots are limited! There will also be an area available for outdoor seating for those wishing to bring chairs and blankets and enjoy the movie outside of their vehicle. This event is free, and there will be no charge for parking that evening.

Food trucks will be onsite for movie snacks and food. No alcohol is allowed in County Parks and those found violating the policy will be asked to leave. All cars should dim their lights upon entering and exiting the movie area, and drive cautiously. This event is family friendly and everyone is encouraged to attend!
