El Paso County Parks & Recreation invites the public to come and celebrate the last nights of summer with an evening of music, cruising, swimming and food trucks with Viva Ascarate! The family-friendly event will be held Sunday, September 12 at Ascarate Park from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. 

Cruise Ascarate will kick off the event beginning at 6:00pm with the nostalgic cruise around the park. Local car clubs, car enthusiasts and vehicles of all types are welcome to come cruise and park in the designated areas. 

Sharks and Mermaids Family Swim Party is a great way for the family to cool off at Ascarate Aquatics Center after a hot day. The swim party will be held from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, weather permitting. The entrance fee for the pool is Adults $3 and Youth $2 cash only. 

Live Music will fill the evening in the newly renovated festival area at Ascarate. Be sure to bring blankets and chairs to sit in the grass and enjoy Mariachi Leyenda Azteca band as they kick off the live music at 7:00pm with the Encanto Band taking the stage at 8:00pm. 

Food trucks will also be on-site for all your Sunday night cravings. Kids will also be able to enjoy the interactive inflatables that will be set up.

Parking will be $2 cash per vehicle, and no charge for those who walk in the park. Ascarate park remains an alcohol and tobacco free facility.
