Ascarate Lake will receive the second delivery of 750 rainbow trout for the winter season from Texas Parks & Wildlife. The trout will arrive from San Marcos on February 7. The exact time will not be known until the day of due to various delays that can happen during the drive from the hatchery. All stocking dates are subject to change without notice.

Ascarate Lake will be closed for 24 hours after the stocking to allow the fish time to acclimate and spread around the lake. Please note all posted signs. The daily bag limit is 5 fish per angler, with a 2 pole limit. A valid fishing license is required for all anglers over the age of 17. For more information on obtaining a license, please click here:
