El Paso County Parks & Recreation is excited to announce the Seventh Annual Lights on the Lake at Ascarate Park. The holiday tradition will light up Ascarate Park on Saturday, December 4th as an in-person event with evening festivities beginning at 6 p.m. and a lighting ceremony to take place at 6:30 p.m. This FREE event is for the entire family to enjoy.

The second annual “A Night of Hope Honoring Our Healthcare Workers and First Responders” will kick off our event with a special presentation to honor their sacrifice, dedication and service to the El Paso community. The presentation will take place along with the lighting ceremony at 6:30pm with the switch being flipped by a healthcare worker/first responder.

The evening festivities includes a variety of food trucks, free train rides, entertainment for the kids and live music by Broken Dime Band. Santa Claus will visit the event and will be available for photos with visitors.

The public is asked to submit photos of a healthcare worker or first responder in action to parksinfo@epcounty.com; photos should be in a JPEG format. Deadline to submit is Sunday, November 21st.
