El Paso County Parks & Recreation in partnership with the Animal Welfare Department come together this holiday season to host the inaugural Santa Paws Pet Walk on Saturday, December 11th at Ascarate Park beginning at 8 a.m. The Santa Paws Pet Walk is the one of many events scheduled between the two departments where they come together to bring awareness of spaying and neutering El Paso County pets.

Pre-registration for the event will begin on Wednesday, December 8th. Participants will be able to register at the Parks and Recreation administrative offices located inside Ascarate Park, 6900 Delta or the day of the event. Registrations fees are $10 per adult and $5 per child, cash only. All proceeds will go towards the Animal Welfare Department Pet Wellness Clinic.

The Pet Wellness Clinic provides free services to the community which include microchipping, vaccinations, spaying and neutering. All donations are kindly accepted; monetary, pet food, dog houses, collars, leashes, and any pet related items.
