Fingerling Largemouth Bass Stocking

Ascarate Lake will receive 5,000 fingerling largemouth bass on Tuesday, May 8th. The fingerlings are intended to build the prey base of the lake and contribute to the continued population of bass. The lake will not be closed after the stocking. 

For largemouth and smallmouth bass, minimum length limit is 14 inches. Daily bag limit is 5 fish for all black bass species in any combination.
